Thanking the students

Tampa to Toronto is about 1100 miles. Or a full day of straight driving. South Florida’s administration has decided that if its students will get themselves from Point A to B, their International Bowl tickets are free.

Honestly, every school should do this. At 60-something bucks a pop, that’s enough to make a difference to a college kid on the fence.  I don’t know if it’ll make a huge difference to South Florida students (a Jan. 2 game means New Year’s Eve in Toronto, or a New Year’s Day drive), but even if it makes a little, that’s one more fan in the stands, right?

  1. Wow, that is a nice idea by South Florida. It’s gotta be tough getting Florida students to go to Toronto at that time if year. New Years Eve in a big party state, or in Toronto? Hmm..

And I am sure flights are not cheap either.
