Question: Any idea when they are going to start showing games in HD? It’s almost 2010.. it’s getting pathetic. Thanks. –Mark

Good news first. The Big East’s basketball syndicated Game of the Week package will be available in HD THIS season. The caveat is that not all of the local affiliates can take it. Still, most can and that’s good news.

As for football… it’s not happening this year. I do, however, have on very good authority that it is a “possibility” for next year. I know that sounds like a safe word. Still, I’m guessing no one wants to promise anything just yet, but I don’t see these games NOT being in HD.
