Over at SNY.tv, my colleague Adam Zagoria has a feature up on the forward Rutgers has been waiting a year on. Jonathan Mitchell won a championship ring at Florida in 2007, transferred to Rutgers and then sat out last year, as per NCAA rules. At Big East media day two weeks ago, Rutgers guard – and Mitchell’s high school teammate – Mike Coburn told me the team is excited to have Mitchell on the court, in uniform, this year. But no, he said, practices aren’t any different knowing Mitchell’s actually available.
“He was good last year too,” Coburn said. “It’s not like he didn’t think it counted.”
Check out the story. Mitchell is someone for Rutgers fans to look forward to.
