As to the game doesn't change my opinion we played that game in the 2nd half not to lose. A long last 2nd TD doesn't change that. People tie too much to results and not what a predictor things can be for the future. Sometimes a play may yield no yards or a loss and I'll still like the call or sometimes a play may yield a big gain but I'll think I'm not sure I would've done that. The idea is will this style of play yield me wins more times than not. We were way too conservative with a lot of game left and more times than not that's gonna bite us in the ass. Should I spend 1000 dollars of every paycheck on the lotto because I hit a 10000 dollar jackpot once. Over the course of time I'll be the loser. This is what I'm getting at.

Last season after the WVU game was the first time in Schiano's whole time here I thought he'd finally seen the light and decided let his coaches coach the game. Now we come into this year and he's mostly reverted not completely back to his old ways but mostly. I don't know what it'll take for him. He can definitely "out talent" you but I rarely find myself thinking he'll out coach you. And he's not recruiting USC type talent to "out talent" everyone in the Big East. USF, WVU, Pitt Cincy are stepping up in their recruiting so we have to beat them on the sidelines to win consistently. This season I've unfortunately reverted back to may initial opinions of Schiano. I'm hoping the light bulb will turn on for him to let go of his coaches and also develop a killer instinct of putting teams away and pushing harder when you have your foot on their throat rather than letting up. He's gonna be around for a long time so I'm hoping the light somehow turns back on like part of last season, so we can take the next step.

Thus are the bones a rivalry is built on. Its impossible to not feel bad for that team for the tragedy endured, but I don't feel bad for them at all about losing and how it happened. I love it actually.

Yea I like sticking it to UConn but with what's happened to them and the last 2 games being what they were for them, I can't help feel bad for them. It's just gotta rip your heart out if you're them. Both of the last 2 losses was late in the game, ours really late. If it wasn't for their tragedy I would be loving it but because of that you do feel a little sympathy there.

I will say this for Schiano, which I did change my opinion on while it happened saving the time with the timeouts helped us there to be able to have that play. So good job there, but he so so so needs to let go and let the OC call the game as he sees fit. Until he does we're never gonna make the jump to the next level.

LOL, just enjoy it for a few minutes. We just stuck it to UConn! That's always GOOD. There is always the next game to agonize about Schiano.

NIce game there but poor coaching by Schiano, a win doesn't change much. I mean how many times can we expect a play like that to happen absolutlely awesome by the players but Schiano with his conservatism shouldn't have put them in a position like that.
