South Florida passed the 14,000-mark in student tickets distributed and just opened up another 546 (at $10 apiece) for tonight’s kick against Cincinnati. The standard student section of 12,501 was gone Tuesday afternoon, the student attendance record (set at 13,499 against Kansas last year) is way in the rearview mirror and I’m still wondering, as I did two days ago, if a seemingly very cool Cincinnati team could be frazzled by all this. Upwards of 60,000 people, most all in green, some in plastic horns…
Of course, in four of the five Big East games played so far, the ROAD TEAM won. And the one exception was home team Pittsburgh last week, which needed a last-play field goal to do so.
