President Obama picks Cards to be National Runner Up

By Andrew Hornback on 18. Mar, 2009

President Barack Obama filled out his NCAA Tournament bracket on ESPN today and picked Louisville to finish as the national runner up to North Carolina.

The president picked four Big East schools to make the Elite Eight (Louisville, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, and Syracuse), and two of them to advance to the Final Four (Louisville and Pittsburgh).

I like his bracket overall except the outcome of the championship game. I feel that we will beat the Tar Heels regardless if Lawson is healthy or not due to our guard depth.

If the Cards face the Tar Heels in the title game, Lawson’s toe will need to be completely healed in order to handle the Louisville full court pressure.
