Lot’s of updates on the Bulls this week, especially with the football team.
USF lost its second game of the season Saturday, falling to an unranked Louisville team. A team that it beat 55-17 at Raymond James Stadium last year.
This is a series where home field advantage has been extremely important. USF has outscored Louisville 100-31 in two games at Raymond James, and the Cardinals have outscored the Bulls 55-28 in their two home games.
It doesn’t get any easier for USF, either. They go to Cincinnati on Thursday night (a night Bulls’ fans dread because USF has lost both Thursday night games it’s played in the last two seasons) with a dinged up core group of players.
USF coach Jim Leavitt has put a gag order on anything related to injuries, but starting right tackle Marc Dile left Saturday’s game and has had a boot on his foot at practice, according to the St. Petersburg Times. Running backs Mike Ford and Jamar Taylor, safety Carlton Williams, linebacker Brouce Mompremier and tight end Trent Pupello all left Saturday’s game with various injuries.
To make things worse, it is expected to be around 35 degrees for Thursday’s kickoff. The Bulls and cold weather mix like oil and water, so that could pose another problem.
